Description
The KA-BAR USMC was designed to serve our troops during World War II and is still doing its job, with honors, 70+ years later. The iconic 7″ 1095 powder-coated clip point blade is topped by a traditional stacked leather handle. Easy to sharpen in the field, the KA-BAR has been used to dig, pry, chop, whittle, hammer, cut, and defend. Tang stamped USMC. Leather sheath included.
World War II was the company’s heyday, with KA-BAR producing more than 20 million knives for the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. The fighting utility knife was the most popular; though, the company also created a diver’s knife, called the Mark I, and an electrician’s knife, which was widely used in the Navy.
For trivia nerds, the original KA-BAR USMC was designed by Marine Col. John M. Davis and Capt. Howard E. America in 1942. So . . . Captain America designed the US Marines’ 1219C2, Knife, Fighting Utility.
