About Outlast Supply

Outlast Supply was built for people who want to be prepared for real life.

We have a lot of respect for the bushcraft crowd. The people who can walk into the woods with a knife, some cordage, and a metal cup and somehow build a shelter, start a fire, catch dinner, and sleep outside like it’s nothing. Impressive. Truly.

That is not us.

We like air conditioning. We like dry socks. We like hot coffee, working headlights, full gas tanks, charged phones, and knowing where the flashlights are before the power goes out.

Outlast Supply is about practical preparedness. The kind of gear that makes life a little easier when unexpected things happen — hurricanes, flooding, wildfires, power outages, road closures, car trouble, medical emergencies, supply disruptions, or the kind of day that starts normal and suddenly isn’t.

We believe you are responsible for your own safety, security, and well-being. That doesn’t mean living in fear. It means paying attention, planning ahead, and having the tools you need before you need them.

It means having water filtration when the tap water is questionable. Food that does not require a grocery store run five minutes before a storm. A way to communicate when cell service is unreliable. A medical kit that is more than a few old Band-Aids in a drawer. A get-home bag in the car because breakdowns, road closures, and emergencies rarely happen close to home.

We are a small business, and we choose products with real-world use in mind. We are not trying to sell you fantasy gear or scare you into buying things you do not need. We focus on practical survival gear, emergency supplies, communication tools, medical kits, water filtration, fire-starting gear, food storage, lighting, bags, and everyday preparedness products that make sense for regular people.

Because being prepared does not mean you want something bad to happen. It means that if something does happen, you are not helpless.

We also believe preparedness goes hand in hand with community. Taking responsibility for yourself does not mean turning your back on everyone else. In fact, the more prepared you are, the more capable you are of helping a neighbor, a friend, a family member, or someone who simply got caught unprepared.

That is the mindset behind Outlast Supply.

Not doomsday. Not gimmicks. Just practical gear for people who want to take care of themselves, protect the people they love, and be ready when life gets inconvenient, uncomfortable, or unpredictable.

Prepared, not paranoid.

The concept of ground-to-air signaling began to take shape during World War II. Pilots and military personnel needed a reliable method to communicate their location and status to friendly aircraft after being shot down or forced to land.

After World War II, the US Military recognized the importance of having a standardized set of signals. This led to the formal development and adoption of Ground-Air Emergency Codes.

The standardization process was further expanded when NATO and other allied forces adopted similar codes, allowing for international cooperation in search and rescue operations.

The principles of Ground-Air Emergency Codes have also been adopted in civilian and commercial aviation. Pilots and outdoor enthusiasts are often trained in these signals as part of survival courses.

Today, Ground-Air Emergency Codes remain a crucial part of search and rescue operations. Modern technology, such as GPS and emergency beacons, has supplemented these traditional methods, but the basic principles still apply.
