Description
The Baofeng UV-9G GMRS is a fully featured IP67 rated 5 watt radio with NOAA weather channels and the ability to receive VHF and UHF transmissions. The UV-9G has 30 pre-programmed GMRS channels (22 simplex and 8 repeater). Additionally, channels 31-54 are CTCSS/DCS DIY repeater channels enabling split tone access on the same frequencies.
- NOAA Weather Scanning – UV-9G can stand by 24/7, receive instant weather report from all NOAA channels, and keep you informed. The NOAA function requires only a little power from the 1500mAh battery.
- VOX – the UV-9G has a VOX (voice-activated transmission) function, allowing for hands-free operation. This feature is useful for users who need to communicate without pressing a button.
- DIY Channels – UV-9G has set 31-54 CH as DIY repeater channels over the standard 23-30 CH. So you have a total of 4 groups of repeating frequencies to set different CTCSS/DCS tones and reduce the interruptions.
- Standby – The 5-level power save feature enables a reduction of battery consumption when on standby.
- Flashlight – bright light with SOS function
- Backlit keyboard
- Programmable tri-color LED display
- Split-tone repeater capable
- Dual channel monitoring
