PRIVACY POLICY
Effective 7/1/2024
Note from Owner
This is where most companies have the legal department step in and write the privacy policy page and of course we had to do that too (see below for the boiler plate stuff). Before we get into that, we want our customers to understand how important data privacy is to us. Having spent years in the firearms industry, we understand how our customers feel about protecting their purchase information. We have gone to great lengths to choose the right software and service providers that allow us to control that information. Yes it takes us a lot longer to ship an order because we don’t have the automated software and yes, we have to manually add data to our ERP system using Excel spreadsheets but we think it’s worth it. We are also big fans of honesty and transparency so below is the list of all the service providers we use and what data is stored with each.
If you have actually read this far, we are impressed so here’s an Easter egg for you: use this coupon code in your cart for 5% off WXUD87FM
List of Service Providers (subject to change)
WooCommerce – Used for order entry and management. Contains name, address, phone number, email address, and products ordered. If you check out as a guest, all information is digitally shredded after 45 days excluding email address. We are happy to shred this information sooner but this will impact our ability to offer you a refund on your order. If you check out using a login and have created an account with us, we do not shred this information unless you request it. If we shred your data, there will be no information under your ‘order history’ when you login.
Fortis Payments – Used for payment processing and contains only amount paid, billing zip, authorization code and part of the CC number. No customer information.
SOS Inventory – None of your personal information is stored here. This is our inventory management system and the order information here is stripped of your data. We collect inventory sold, revenue, and city, state and zip code.
Quickbooks Online – None of your personal information is stored here. Sales by product, city, state and zip code are tracked for sales tax purposes.
Mailchimp – Emails are kept with our Mailchimp account and we use emails for our own marketing purposes. We will never sell your email information. We only email when we have something cool to announce but if you want to unsubscribe, you won’t hurt our feelings.
That’s it. You have now seen behind the curtain of how Outlast Supply operates. Now we can let the attorneys do their thing:
