The BF-88ST has an upgraded antenna, charger chip, and battery contacts from the original version (BF-888S). It provides higher safety and operational performance: better-talking range, shorter charging time, and longer service life.

The antenna is built into BF-88ST, so the integrated units would be effectively protected by the sturdy shell. Included earpiece provides crystal clear voice. Up to 3 miles talking range, suitable for boy scouts, camping, restaurants, and other business uses.

Thanks to the new chip in the charger, BF-88ST can be fully charged in only 3 hours — 60 whole minutes faster than the original BF-888S. USB cable supports multiple charging methods.

VOX function allows real hands-free operation with the earpiece in walking and driving. Has monitor, scan, TOT, LED torch, etc. Supports CHIRP programming via the same software as BF-888S’s.
