Becker BK9: Camp Beast

Long regarded as a staple in the outdoor and preparedness community, The Becker Combat Bowie BK9 is a renowned performer in fieldcraft and survival tasks.

The BK9 by KA-BAR is a large, bowie-inspired chopper.  The 9.25″ 1095 Cro-Van full tang blade features a durable powder coat and a flat grind. At 0.188″ thick, the blade is thinly ground for highly efficient chopping but the deep belly allows for controlled slicing. The jimping on the spine is angled, providing excellent control.

The handles are signature Ethan Becker, renowned for their ergonomic shape and lack of hot spots. some prefer to upgrade to Micarta scales, which can be found here. The butt of the BK9 has a flattened pommel for hammering that is part of the tang, and protrudes from the handles.

The MOLLE-compatible sheath is nylon with a kydex insert and features an elasticized pouch on the front for spare Skittles, a fire kit, or anything you think you may need for the apocalypse.
