Benchmade Griptilian – 550-S30V

Introduced in 2001, the Benchmade Griptilian has long been the standard bearer for hard use ergonomic folders. Not flashy, just purpose built and designed by Mel Pardue.

The blade is a flat ground modified sheepsfoot design featuring premium stainless CPM S30V. The Noryl GTX* handles are contoured brilliantly and the knife is completely ambidextrous thanks to the AXIS lock, thumb holes and reversible pocket clip.  The AXIS lock also provides safe, one-handed operation and an extremely sturdy lock-up.

(*Noryl GTX is a type of resin that combines polyamide and modified polyphenylene ether technology, known for its chemical resistance, heat resistance, and low water absorption. It is commonly used in automotive applications and for making durable products like knife handles.)
